Republic Day Speech for Students and Children
Republic day speech
Let’s start with the republic day speech
Good morning respected guest, principal, teachers, parents, and all my dear friends. Greeting to all of you on this Republic Day of our beloved country India. I am very glad and thankful for this opportunity. I think it is that platform where I can express my thought to the audience.
As you know, we are all present over here to celebrate Republic Day. In the honor of full effect of our own constitution, Republic Day is celebrated every year. This auspicious day commemorates our democracy.
Republic Day is our national festival. This republic day is celebrated in schools, colleges, universities, and public places with great enthusiasm. They hoist the Indian tricolor. They also organize several events like debates, dance competitions, playing the role of our martyrs, speeches, and other beautiful competition on this day.
But the most amazing scenes are seen at Rajpath, New Delhi. On this day our president delivers a speech. Also, several tableaus are extracted that show our defense capability, culture, and social heritage.
We all are aware that India got its Independence on August 15, 1947, after a massive movement in which common people also took an active part.
It was a result of the sacrifice of our great leaders who make our country free. I heartily tribute to all those martyrs who sacrificed their whole life for our motherland India. After the independence of our country, it was necessary to have our own constitution for the implementation of our own rule for India which was governed by the British government earlier.
A committee was made which was headed by Dr.B.R Ambedkar. After many amendments, the Constitution of India was drafted on 26 November 1949 under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
On 26th January 1950, the constitution came into force and India became a republic country. Ever since, on 26th January, the people of India celebrate this republic day every year.
The word republic means that all citizens of the country have the fundamental right to elect its leaders to lead the country.
It is meant to show our affection for the country. The entire country is enjoying this festival on this day as the nation achieved a special significance on this day. We celebrate Republic Day on 26 January as it is also a special day since India declared its Independence “Purna Swaraj” from the British in 1930. It’s a day to celebrate the value of our democracy and republic.
One of the greatest contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was in respect of fundamental rights. The fundamental rights provide for freedom, equality, religion, culture, education, privacy, abolition of untouchability, and remedies to ensure the enforcement of rights.
India is a very democratic country and the whole world is watching our achievements. But there are still many tasks to be accomplished. It is necessary to look back on the idea of the Constitution that was framed.
Poverty, corruption, illiteracy, overpopulation, pollution, terrorism, and unemployment are great concerns for India. Many social evils like dowry, illiteracy among women, infanticide of female children, and other social evils are required to be fully rooted out.
We must pledge to keep the fight against these ailments of society. We need to ensure that there should be no child labor and debt bondage of children. It is our national problem and hence must be solved on a war footing. Although there have been many improvements till now still we need to focus on this issue.
Every destitute child must get the basic right and good education. We must ensure to make our education system better so that every class of society gets an education in the right direction. We need to make our country free from corruption, and untouchability and follow the path of our constitution.
We must not forget the sacrifices of our ancestors who made India freedom. We must not forget our soldiers who perform their duty on the border to preserve our independence and democracy.
let us all pledge today to solve this type of issue together as people of this nation and make our country the strongest economy in the world. We all should take an oath to maintain the supremacy of our nation.
I am very proud of the nation that has given me so much. Lastly, I would like to finish my speech with the words “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”.
Thanks again for giving me an opportunity to speak in front of all of you.
I hope you loved the Republic Day speech. Please let me know in the comments how it was. Thank you.
